The 16th edition of iconic Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) is all set to begin on January 19 with a feature of some of the greatest literary minds including nobel laureate Abulrazak Gurnah, international booker prize winner Geetanjali Shree, author and translator Daisy Rockwell, lyricist and author Gulzar, filmmaker and producer Onir.
The five-day festival will conclude on January 23.
The literary extravaganza will witness a spectacular range of language diversity in the programs, displaying 21 Indian and 14 international languages, Sanjoy K Roy, its producer, told a press conference here.
In the upcoming JLF season, the festival will focus on themes such as climate crisis, geopolitics, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Indo-China relations, agriculture and energy, he said.
JLF will continue to remain committed to its core values to serve as democratic, non-aligned platform ensuring inclusivity and freedom of speech, outlining the five days of sessions hosting 400 speakers from across a vast ray of nationalities, and recipients of major awards, Roy said.
